Central Wilhelmsburg – Building for the New City

Central Wilhelmsburg: the new city quarter at the centre of the Elbe Island. Construction north and south of Neuenfelder Straße is scheduled to be completed in 2013, resulting in 30 hectares of living, work and leisure space set in the park of the International Garden Exhibition (igs).

Workshop Show IBA at WORK

Attracting over 30,000 visitors, the workshop show IBA at WORK has already become a big new attraction on the Elbe islands at its first location at Berta-Kröger-Platz. Now its appeal is renewed at the IBA DOCK at the Müggenburg custom harbour. Projects and plans are presented with multi-media and interactively.

IBA meets IBA

Running parallel to the workshop show, IBA Hamburg’s travelling exhibition “IBA meets IBA”, shown in Hamburg until the end of February 2008, represented the first overall review of more than one hundred years of international building exhibitions in Germany and presented the seven predecessors of IBA Hamburg.
