Attracting over 30,000 visitors, the workshop show IBA at WORK has already become a big new attraction on the Elbe islands at its first location at Berta-Kröger-Platz. Now its appeal is renewed at the IBA DOCK at the Müggenburg custom harbour. Projects and plans are presented with multi-media and interactively. The illuminated panels, models and films are situated in the western part of the IBA DOCK. And on the lowest floor, Deck 1, visitors can browse through IBA publications in the café and on its sunny terrace.

Topics and goals for the future of the metropolis can be explored as well as the current status of IBA projects including a lot of background information. A 27-square-metre model of the Elbe islands is the highlight of the exhibition; it is the first model of Hamburg open to the public that focuses on the city south of the Elbe River. “We wanted to present the topics of Hamburg’s first International Building Exhibition in a way that is as comprehensible as possible for citizens, and to a broad audience, despite some of them being rather complicated”, says IBA managing director Uli Hellweg.
